ASPHALTKIND roof boxes: Developed on a sports car. Built for coupes, SUVs, sedans, and station wagons. Now everyone can see for themselves that thisis more than just a slogan. The first official photos of our roof box at high speeds on an Audi RS6 are now available!
The perfect roof box for the Audi RS6
With 600 hp, and in some models even with built-in ceramic brakes, the Audi RS6 is a vehicle that definitely deserves the term "sports car." But unlike other high-powered cars, the Audi "Rennsport 6" is quite suitable for everyday use thanks to its "station wagon-like" design: five seats, a large trunk, and plenty of storage space. Nevertheless, the car's big plus is, of course, its performance and thehigh speeds it can quickly reach, thanks in part to its optimized aerodynamics. And these aerodynamics should, of course, not be affected by a roof box and, at best, not be impaired.
If you want to create even more storage space despite the spaciousness of the vehicle, a roof box is a must. However, these currently still have two major disadvantages: firstly, the roof boxes currently available are only approved for speeds of up to 130 km/h, and secondly, they usually do not match the design of the car, making them look like a foreign object on the car roof.
Perfect for the Audi RS6: the ASPHALTKIND roof box
To solve these problems, we developed the ASPHALTKIND roof box. Thanks to the aerodynamic shape of the roof box, which is based on a water drop, the vehicle's wind resistance is only slightly affected. We were able to successfully demonstrate this during the development and testing phase, which took place on a Porsche 911. This means that driving at higher speeds is still possible. In addition, the shape of the roof box fits almost any car model: whether Porsche Cayenne, BMW M3, Mercedes C-Class, or even Audi RS6.
If you would like to see our roof box in motion, we recommend watching the following YouTube video. In it, we take a closer look at the unique features of the ASPHALTKIND roof box and also compare it to the well-known 56 Nord roof box.
