The perfect roof box for the Audi RS6
With 600 hp, and equipped with ceramic brakes in certain models, the Audi RS6 is a vehicle that genuinely deserves the term sports car. Unlike other high-performance automobiles, however, the Audi "Rennsport 6" is remarkably well-suited for everyday use thanks to its estate configuration: five seats, a large trunk, and ample storage space. Nevertheless, the car's primary advantage is undoubtedly its performance and the resulting high speeds it can achieve, facilitated in part by its optimized aerodynamics. Naturally, these aerodynamics should not be compromised—and ideally not impaired—by a roof box.
For those seeking even more storage space despite the vehicle's inherent spaciousness, a roof box is indispensable. However, currently available roof boxes suffer from two major drawbacks: first, roof boxes currently on the market are certified for a maximum of 130 km/h (81 mph), and second, they generally do not match the vehicle's design, making them look like an awkward foreign body on the car roof.
Perfect for the Audi RS6: The ASPHALTKIND Roof Box
To resolve these issues, we developed the ASPHALTKIND roof box. Thanks to the aerodynamic basic shape of the roof box, modeled after a teardrop, the vehicle's drag is only marginally affected. We successfully demonstrated this during the development and testing phase conducted on a Porsche 911. Consequently, driving at higher speeds remains entirely possible. Furthermore, the shape of the roof box harmonizes with nearly any automobile model: whether Porsche Cayenne, BMW M3, Mercedes C-Class, or the Audi RS6.
