The ASPHALTKIND roof boxes: Developed on a sports car. Built for coupes, SUVs, sedans and station wagons. That this is more than just a slogan, of which everyone can now convince themselves. Because there are the first official images of our roof box for high speeds on an Audi RS6!
The perfect roof box for the Audi RS6
With 600 hp, and in some models even with ceramic brakes installed, the Audi RS6 is a vehicle that definitely deserves the term sports car. But unlike other high-horsepower cars, the Audi “Racing Sport 6” is quite an everyday vehicle thanks to its “station wagon-like” design: five seats, a large trunk and plenty of storage options. Nevertheless, the car’s big plus is, of course, its performance and the high speeds it can achieve quickly, thanks in part to its optimized aerodynamics. And these aerodynamics should of course not be influenced by a roof box and at best not be worsened.
If you want to create even more storage space despite the spaciousness of the vehicle, you can’t get around a roof box. However, these currently still have two major disadvantages: firstly, the roof boxes currently available are approved for a maximum speed of 130 km/h and secondly, they usually do not match the design of the car, making them look like a kind of foreign body on the car roof.
Perfect for the Audi RS6: The ASPHALTKIND roof box
To solve these problems, we have developed the ASPHALTKIND roof box. The aerodynamic basic shape of the roof box, which is based on a drop of water, only slightly impairs the wind resistance of the vehicle. We were able to successfully prove this during the development and test phase, which took place on a Porsche 911. This means that driving at higher speeds is still possible. In addition, the shape of the roof box fits almost every car model: whether Porsche Cayenne, BMW M3, Mercedes C-Class or Audi RS6.
