The perfect roof box for the Audi RS6
With 600 hp, and in some models even equipped with ceramic brakes, the Audi RS6 is a vehicle that definitely deserves to be called a sports car. But unlike other high-horsepower cars, the Audi “Racing Sport 6” is quite an everyday vehicle thanks to its “station wagon-like” design: five seats, a large trunk, and plenty of storage options. Nevertheless, the car’s biggest advantage is, of course, its performance and the high speeds it can reach quickly, thanks in part to its optimized aerodynamics. And these aerodynamic qualities should, of course, not be affected by a roof box—and ideally, not be compromised.
If you want to create even more storage space despite the vehicle’s spaciousness, a roof box is a must. However, these currently still have two major drawbacks: first, the roof boxes currently available are approved for a maximum speed of 130 km/h, and second, they usually don’t match the car’s design, making them look like a foreign object on the car’s roof.
Perfect for the Audi RS6: The ASPHALTKIND roof box
To solve these problems, we have developed the ASPHALTKIND roof box. The aerodynamic basic shape of the roof box, which is modeled after a drop of water, only slightly increases the vehicle’s wind resistance. We were able to successfully demonstrate this during the development and testing phase, which was conducted on a Porsche 911. This means that driving at higher speeds is still possible. In addition, the roof box’s shape fits almost every car model: whether it’s a Porsche Cayenne, BMW M3, Mercedes C-Class, or Audi RS6.
