Frequently asked questions:
Where can I buy the roof box?
Here you can buy our ASPHALTKIND roof box Cropfiber or Carbon.
How fast can I drive with the roof box?
Through the use of fiber composite materials, we achieve best values in the area of weight and stability, which allows high speeds through the elaborately simulated aerodynamics. Thus, very high lateral and longitudinal dynamics are possible, which of course we do not want to withhold from you.
Basically our goal is that your car does not lose its emotions. The car should drive the same way with a roof box as without. Without fear of the next overtaking maneuver or a sporty driven highway exit.
Like the major German car manufacturers, we also went to the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, because “everyone praises what Nürburgring tests!”
In our blog you can find more information.
What are the technical specifications of the roof box?
The roof box has the following data:
- Length: 215 cm
- Width: 90 cm
- Height: 32 cm
- Volume: over 400 liters
I know carbon! What material is the Cropfiber roof box made of?
How much does the roof box cost?
ASPHALTKIND roof box Cropfiber from 5,900 €
ASPHALTKIND roof box Carbon from 6,400 €
Why does the roof box cost more than other boxes?
Only by using fiber composite materials can we achieve a very low weight with very high stability. The material and its processing is associated with high costs. Thus, each roof box requires over 16 hours of production time, much of which is manual labor. The material costs already amount to a four-digit level.
Anyone who has ever bought a carbon part for the car knows that performance and appearance often seem expensive in comparison. In order to always achieve perfect quality and performance, a great deal of effort is required in production. Here you get a look into a fiber composite production.
Our approach is that you shouldn’t let a car worth 70,000 € be robbed of its emotion by a 1,000 € plastic box. That is one of the reasons for our material and cost-intensive design, which has gone through a long development and simulation phase.
Finally, it’s also about safety.
